Objectives, activities and expected results:

The INOV.AM - Innovation in Additive Manufacturing project aims to further develop and disseminate knowledge, technologies and materials for additive manufacturing (AM) with a view to linking the unique characteristics and possibilities of AM with traditional production technologies in order to improve the efficiency and flexibility of processes, thus enabling the creation of high quality, personalised value-added products.

The INOV.AM project aims to be a catalyst for research and development into: new materials, advanced manufacturing processes, advanced post-production processes, advanced automation and control software, new products, training and capacity building of human resources applied to Additive Manufacturing.

During the course of the INOV.AM project, it is also expected that more than 55 technical and scientific publications will be published, more than 15 patent applications will be submitted, more than 200 new jobs will be created, including more than 160 highly qualified jobs, the incorporation of renewable energies in manufacturing processes will increase by more than 55 per cent and the incorporation of recycled and/or reused materials in manufacturing processes will more than triple.
