The aim of project 45921 - Soft4Sense is to provide software capable of supplying the information needed to deposit thin film coatings without mechanical and electrical integrity problems. The proposed solution can help deposit multilayers under the right conditions to produce a reliable and reproducible product. This software, based on information about the required characteristics of the layers (e.g. residual stress, defect density, electrical characteristics, hardness, Young's modulus), provides the multilayer deposition conditions. Each input of information results from a complex task, where experimental and simulation work is required in a closed-loop approach.
