El recubrimiento resultante procede de una reacci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica en la que los precursores se encuentran en fase de vapor. \nEl proceso PACVD tiene lugar a temperaturas m\u00e1s bajas que el proceso CVD, porque es el plasma el que se utiliza para desencadenar una reacci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica, en lugar de la energ\u00eda t\u00e9rmica. En este proceso todos los materiales que crean la pel\u00edcula est\u00e1n en fase gaseosa, a diferencia del proceso CVD en el que al menos uno de los materiales est\u00e1 en fase s\u00f3lida
